The Turkish Mediterranean stretches along the coast from Cesme to Alanya and is typified by deep blue waters, golden sandy beaches and year round blue skies.

Bounded by the Taurus mountains to the north and the coastline to the south, the area around Antalya has something to offer everyone. Long and warm days of summer attract the sun worshipers while the cooler, and more temperate winter months are ideal for exploring the local historic sites or playing golf at one of the many first class, championship courses in the area.

At its heart is the charming and lively harbour town of Side. Although Side’s most remarkable features are based around its Roman remains, don’t be misled by its antiquity! Side is a bustling and vibrant tourist centre with many shops, market stalls, bars and restaurants. Most local proprietors speak English to some extent.

Significantly Turkey lies outside the EU and therefore has its own currency (the Lira) which has a much more favourable sterling exchange rate than either the Euro or the US Dollar. As a consequence, your pound goes much further here than it would in mainland Europe or in the USA!
